VESDA by Xtralis VESDA VLI Product Guidewww.xtralis.com 173 InstallationThe VLI detector is shipped with the following components:l 1 VLI detectorl 1 Mounting bracketl 1 Ferrite core for connection using Ethernet cablel Multilingual Installation Sheetl 1 End of Line resistor with the VLI-885 detectorCheck all components for damage and refer any concerns to your authorized representative.Depending on the nature of the installation, it may be necessary to procure the following items:l Screws and inserts for the mounting bracket that are appropriate for the installation location.l Type A to Type B USB Interface Lead, if configuration of the detector is to be done via the USB interface.l Standard Ethernet cable if configuration of the detector is to be done via the Ethernet interface.l A High Level Interface (HLI), where it is necessary to connect to a VESDA VLI on VESDAnet.Figure 3-1: Type A to Type B USB Interface Lead
