Page8ChargingYour scooter comes charged out of the carton. We still recommend charging the unit for8-10 hours prior to it’s first use. We also recommend charging your scooter after eachuse and prior to storage.WARNING: Do not allow your scooter to go into deep discharge, as this will damage thebatteries.Fig. 5Fig. 10Fig. 6**Your scooter has a variable speed hand throttle. You can control the speed of yourscooter by the amount of pressure you use when rotating the hand throttle. The moreyou rotate, the faster you will go.1. Make sure unit is turned off.2. Open the charging socket coverlocated on the left side of theseat/tank fairing. Fig. 6)3. Locate your Battery Charger.(Fig. 5) Find the charger socketend plug it into the scooter.4. Next, plug the AC plug into a walloutlet.When first plugged in, the charger hastwo red lights that will illuminate at thesame time, indicating that the chargingprocess has started. Once the light onthe charger turns green, you may removethe charger and close the safety cap.RIDING1. Make sure that all of the exposed bolts and screwsare tightened.2. Raise the kickstand to its upright position.3. Turn the scooter on using the key switch located onthe right side of the seat/tank fairing.4. Gently rotate the THROTTLE GRIP, on the rightside of the handlebars. The XP-707 will begin tomove on its own power.
