AKT 759 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION SHEETGB5019 319 01440 To get full satisfaction from the hob, please read these instructions carefully and keep them for future consultation.GBROBGRUSSKCZUSE OF THE GAS BURNERS• To ignite one of the burners, turn the relative knob anti-clockwise to the maximum flame setting .• Press the knob against the control panel to ignite theburner.• After the burner has ignited, keep the knob pressed forabout 5 seconds to allow the thermocouple to warm up.This burner safety device shuts off the gas supply to theburner if the flame goes out accidentally (because ofsudden draught, an interruption in the gas delivery,boiling over of liquids, etc.).• The device must not be pressed for more than15 sec. If, after that time has elapsed, the burnerdoes not remain lit, wait at least one minute beforetrying to light it again.- The burner might go out when the knob is released.This means that the thermocouple has not warmed upenough. In this case, repeat the operations describedabove.PRACTICAL ADVICE FOR USING THE GASBURNERSFor optimum burner performance, observe the followingrules:- Use pots and pans that fit the burners (see table below).- Only use flat-bottomed pots and pans.- Use the correct amount of water for cooking foods andkeep the pot covered.- In the case of pans with convex bottoms (WOK), use thesupport grille provided, which should be positioned onlyon the 4 ring burner.USE OF THE DUAL ZONE GLASS CERAMICHOTPLATEThis hob is fitted with an electric hotplate which has twocooking zones that can be switched on separately, and a glassceramic top. This combination delivers rapid and uniformtransmission of heat, optimising cooking results and savingtime.• To switch on the single zone , turn the knob anti-clockwise from 0. Power can be set from a minimum of1 to a maximum setting of 12.• To switch on the dual zone, turn the knob further, pastnumber 12, to the symbol Turn the knob clockwise toadjust the power which, in this case, will be in decreasingorder, starting from a maximum setting of (12) to aminimum of (1).• To revert to cooking with the single cooking zone afterthe dual zone has been switched on, first switch thehotplate off by turning the knob to 0.• Next, repeat the operation described above.Note: the electric hotplate is equipped with a residual heatindicator which switches on whenever the cooking zonereaches a dangerously hot temperature. This LED inidcatorremains lit even after the hotplate is switched off, onlyswitching off once the temperature of the glass no longerposes a threat.PRACTICAL ADVICE FOR USING THE ELECTRICHOTPLATE- Use flat-bottomed pots and pans whose diameter isequal to, or slightly larger than, that of the cooking zonesmarked on the glass.- Use the correct amount of water for cooking foods andkeep the pot covered.Use the table below as a guide in order to select the mostsuitable heat setting, positioning the knob between 1 and 12.1.
