8 bit Byte 7 Fail Safe8 bit Byte 8 Fail Safe Speed (Low byte of 16-bit unsigned)8 bit Byte 9 Fail Safe Speed (High byte of 16-bit unsigned)Set Min/Max SpeedsThe Min/Max Speed parameters are used to set the minimum and maximum speed from thePROFIBUS interface. The values are only used if the matching bit in the Control Word isenabled and they are not zero. The values are 16 bit unsigned in 1/10th of RPM of the headspeed. If the user requests the pump to operate at a lower speed than the defined minimum speedfrom the user parameter data (bytes 3, 4) then the pump will operate at the definedminimum speed. If a maximum speed has been configured in the user parameter data, then the pump will belimited to this maximum speed even when the master requests a higher rpm.Fail SafeThe fail-safe user parameter is used to set the correct course of action to take in the eventof a PROFIBUS communications failure. The fail-safe byte is configured as shown in thefollowing table. If no bits are set or an invalid bit pattern is set the default fail safebehaviour shall be to stop the pump.Hex Description0x00 The pump will stop0x01 Continue driving using the last demanded speed0x02 Continue driving using the fail safe speed0x03 - 0x07 ReservedFail Safe SpeedThe fail-safe speed parameter is used to set the speed at which the pump should be drivenif a PROFIBUS communications error occurs and if the fail-safe user parameter is set to0x02.17.5 PROFIBUS data exchangeThe data in this section is provided as reference material for a PROFIBUS network operator.Operating this pump under PROFIBUS control is beyond the scope of this instructionmanual. Consult your PROFIBUS network literature for further information.Default address 126PROFIBUS Ident 0x0E7DGSD File: WAMA0E7D.GSDConfig: 0x62, 0x5D (3 words out, 14 words in)User parameter bytes: 6Cyclic Data Write (from Master to pump)Cyclic Data Write (from Master to pump)16 bit Byte 1 (low), 2 (high) Control Word16 bit Byte 3 (low), 4 (high) Pumphead Speed Setpoint (unsigned)m-qdos-en-02 59
