Keep others away when operatingthe winch.• Inspect the winch mechanism, fasteners, wire, or synthetic rope, beforeoperating. Replace all worn or damaged parts before operating.1. Remove Wire Rope:Place the winch in the free spool position, and un-spool all the wire rope. Be careful when removingthe metal button, this will not be reinstalled when using the synthetic winch rope.
