RTU-4000/RTU-4100 User Manual, D07-00-132P-RevA01 Page 5 of 442.0 Product IntroductionThe VeEX RTU-4000 is a rack mountable test chassis. The RTU-4100 is a test module designedto provide OTDR functionality. The RTU-4000 with installed RTU-4100 (RTU) is a rackmount testsolution that can be used for:• On-Demand testing• Continuous monitoring when paired with the OX4000 series optical switch; installed on thesame rack as the RTU.The RTU can be used in stand-alone mode or as a test probe configured as part of the VeSioncentralized server system (15.0 VeSion Overview). The RTU can be remotely accessed using theEthernet port or optional LTE model via the embedded web-based software, Fiberizer Desktop, orVeSion software application.
