CX10/CX10+ D07-00-036 Rev.B01 93.4 BatteryThe CX10/CX10+ operates from 6 Volts provided by 4x1.5Volt Alkaline batteries (AA) located in the rear of the unit. Thebattery life is 100 hours of continuous scanning. To preservebattery life, the units are fitted with an auto shutdown feature.Four minutes after the last key press, the auto shutdownfeature turns the unit off automatically. To replace thebatteries, follow the procedure below:1. Disconnect the instrument from cable under test2. Turn the instrument off3. Loosen the two black screws and remove thebattery compartment cover4. Replace the batteries with four 1.5 Volt Alkalinebatteries (AA size), observing the polarity markings5. Refit the battery compartment cover and the twocover screws3.5 ConnectorsThe unit can be equipped with Banana jacks or BNCconnector types.2x 4mm BananaBNC• Ensure no power supply orequipment is attached to thecable under test• Ensure the far end of the cableunder test is open or shorted(not fitted with a resistivetermination)• Voltage protection up to 250Volts AC
