---86---I. Checks and adjustmentsI 1.1.2. Bleeding in---line pump system of air312A3565---125,1The bleeding of the in---line pump system differs from thebleeding of the distributor pump system as follows:--- The fuel hand priming pump (1) is located beside theinjection pump. Continue pumping a few times to fill theinjection pump, then tighten the bleeding screw (2)--- The fuel from the injection pump can also be bledthrough the overflow valve (3) after bleeding the fuelfilters.I 1.1.3. Bleeding the thermostart---system ofair69---89,1123Allways bleed the fuel pipe of the glow plug, if the pipe orthe fuel container is empty e.g. after service. damage tothe glow plug can occur due to the lack of fuel whenstarting the engine.--- If the container (1) has become empty, fill it with a dripcan through the breather hole (2) on the cover.--- Open the glow plug pipe adapter (3).I 1.2. Air cleaner69---90The air cleaner prevents dust and other dirt from enteringthe engine with the induction air. Engine wear is largelydependent on the cleanliness of the induction air so it isvery important to check the air cleaner regularly and tomaintain it correctly.CAUTION: The safety filter inside the main filter mustnot be cleaned but must always be changed accordingto the maintenance schedule. The purpose of thesafety filter is to prevent damage to the engine if themain filter should fail.I 1.2.1. Maintenance of main filterA3565---127The air filter must not be cleaned more than five times, after which time it must be replaced. Check when cleaningthat the filter and its seals are undamaged. A damagedfilter must always be replaced.NOTE: Never clean or remove the air filter unless it isabsolutely necessary. When removing the air filterthere is always the possibility that dirt can enter theinduction system of the engine.
