10 Installation and maintenance manual ecoLEVEL 0020010507_027 Start-upOnce the ecoLEVEL condensate pump has beenmechanically and electrically installed, it is ready foroperation. The green LED lights up.Note!Once the pump has been installed and put intoservice, operation is self-regulating and doesnot require further attendance.7.1 Display of operating statusOn the front edge of the housing there are two integrat-ed diodes which indicate the operating status of theecoLEVEL condensate pump. The green LED signals the following statuses:Green LED Red LED MeaningLights up Off Pump has 230 V mains voltage supplyFlashes Off Pump is operating and pumping outcondensateIf the red LED lights up or flashes, a malfunc-tion has occurred. See section 9.8 MaintenanceDanger!Risk of fatal electric shock from touching liveconnections. Always switch off the power sup-ply to the pump and boiler first. You may onlyproceed with the maintenance once this hasbeen done.• Make sure that the inflow and outflow are unobstruct-ed.• Remove the cover from the pump and inspect the con-densate reservoir for contamination. If necessary, clean the condensate reservoir with warm water and amild cleaning agent.• Disassemble the non-return valve and clean it underrunning water.• Inspect the feed and discharge hoses and clean themif necessary.• In order to ensure an unobstructed flow, make surethat the hoses are not kinked.Note!Maintenance on the pump can be scheduled tocoincide with the maintenance intervals for theboiler. The pump should be serviced at leastonce a year.9 Troubleshooting9.1 ProblemsThe ecoLEVEL condensate pump can rectify temporaryfaults during normal operation by itself. The red LED sig-nals the following operating conditions:Green LED Red LED MeaningFlashes Lights upThe maximum water level in the pumphas been exceeded. The container is pumped out.Flashes FlashesThe pump remains in an idle state fora defined period, then starts up againautomatically. If the LED lights up or flashes, the water level hasexceeded the maximum level and the overflow switchhas been triggered. Either a zero-potential contact orthe circuit is opened in order to switch off the boiler. If the required connection to the boiler has beeninstalled, it will be switched off in order to prevent thefurther accumulation of condensate.9.2 Fault diagnosisIf the red LED lights up or flashes for a lengthy period, there is a fault in the installation or a defect in thepump. Check the following points when troubleshooting:Cause TroubleshootingPump is not dischargingcondensate:Runout hose is kinkedRemove the kinkMotor blockedVisually inspect the feed area: lookfor foreign objects and remove iffoundMotor is defective Replace the condensate pumpPump not being filledCheck the position of the hose, inspect for blockage, make sure itis properly attached to the pump, correct the problem if foundWater guage float isblocked Ensure the float can move freely7 Start-up8 Maintenance9 Troubleshooting |
