This sender willperform optimally when mounted with a ‘clear lineof sight’ to the sky, i.e.: not blocked by a rooflineor other steel structure. Other locations may work,depending on your vehicles characteristics. Thissender has been designed with a watertightenclosure and may be mounted in an exteriorlocation, if required.2. Wire the GPS Speed Sender as followsNote: +12V can be constant (ie: to the battery) orswitched. +12V constant will allow the GPS sender tomaintain constant connection to the GPSsatellites and allow for immediate speed signalat vehicle start. Battery consumption iscomparable to that of a radio’s clock. +12V switched will not draw any power whenthe vehicle is shut down, but will require 35-60seconds for the sender to connect to the GPSsatellites when power is switched on.3.
