RUN - OUT MEASUREMENT INSTRUCTIONSSet balancing machine computer to RUN - OUT MEASUREMENT subroutine.Methods ofaccessing this subroutine and its operation are set out in item 8.5.Make measurement with wheel guard up.Mount wheel ( or wheel rim only if wheel rim run - out is to be measured )in balancingmachine chuck. Set distance of sensor from wheel ( or wheel rim ) surface so that sensorposition indictor, visible on the screen( Fig 29) as a verticaly line is near the centre of sensor positioning area.Then rotate the wheel by hand - a chime will signal the commencement of run - outmeasurement. On monitor screen message WHEEL RUN - OUT MEASUREMENT IN PROGRESSwill appear. continue to rotate the wheel (always in the same direction) until chime is heard andWHEEL RUN - OUT VALUE appears on the screen, with run - out value in mm (Fig 30).Fig.29.Window set sensorPosition index sensor
