MS842RB Wireless 2D Imager ScannerQuick Start GuideVersion 1.0401258GSetup and InstallationThe following steps will walk you throughthe installation process.Switch the power button to the ON position.* Default OptionFor more detailed scanner setting, please go to www.ute.com to download the user manual and thescanner configuration manager utility.STEP1 Power OnConnect the power supply cable tothe bottom of the MS842RB and toan electrical outlet. Charge for atleast 5 hours.STEP2 Charge STEP3 Begin PairingƔ:LWKRXW&UDGOHƔ:LWK&UDGOHPlug the power supply cable into theMS842RB cradle and into an electricaloutlet. Plug the interface cable into theMS842RB cradle. You must alsoconnect it to the USB port on yourcomputer. Charge for at least 5 hours.Ɣ:LWKRXW&UDGOHThe following steps will enable a directconnection between MS842RB and thehost, without the cradle. First, scan hereto activate cradle-less mode.Ɣ:LWK&UDGOHScan the barcode below to begin pairingthe MS842RB using the cradle.STEP4Go to your device (phone/tablet/computer) settingsand turn the Bluetooth function on.The MS842RB will appear on your device as“HID Scanner” or “BT HID Scanner”Select/Press “HID Scanner”Turn Bluetooth On :LWKRXW&UDGOHScan the barcode label that appears under thecradle. The scanner will beep one time and theLED light will blink to indicate the pairing processhas been successful. Your device is now ready touse.STEP5Pincode Start :LWKRXW&UDGOHOpen a word processing program suchDV0LFURVRIW:RUGRU1RWHSDGRQ\RXUKRVW1RZVFDQWKHIROORZLQJEDUFRGHIf the word “Unitech” appears on thescreen you have succesfully installedyour scanner.Test and Finish :LWK&UDGOHYou will now enter a pincode to pair theMS842RB with your device. Scan here toindicate the beginning of the pincodesequence. (Please follow the instruction onthe rihgt for alphanumeric barcodes setting)Scan Cradle Barcode :LWK&UDGOHAlphanumeric BarcodesƔScan the alphanumeric barcodes according to the pin code.Once finishedscanning the pin code input, Scan “Enter” barcode to exit the mode.ƔScan “ Backspace “ barcode as single time backspace.(0) (1) (2) (3)(4) (5) (6)(7) (8) (9)(Enter) (Backspace)
