28Advanced playbackZooming a PictureYou can magnify areas within a picture.Zooming a picturePress ZOOM during normal, slow or stillplayback.As you repeatedly press the ZOOMbutton, the magnification levelincreases.To reduce the magnification level,press the RETURN button.If you press the / / / buttons,the zoom point shifts.When the zoom point reaches anedge of the picture, the color of“Zoom” changes.Pressing the CLEAR button restoresthe zoom point to the center of thepicture.To resume normal playbackPress ZOOM repeatedly so that “Zoom” disappears.Notes• Some discs may not respond to zoom feature.• During some scenes, the buttons may not work asdescribed.• Zooming does not work on subtitles or menus included onDVD video discs.• During zoom playback, the / / / buttons cannot workon menus included on DVD video discs.
