26 Record ModeUsing the Flash or digital light functionUsing the Flash or digital light functionThe camcorder has three Flash settings and one additional settingthat allows you to increase the brightness of an object, which maybe dark or in shadow.To use light function:1 Flash Auto ( ): The flash fires automatically according tolight conditions. Use this mode for general photography,(Picture Recording only).2 Red Eye Reduction ( ): The pre-flash will fire to reduce thered-eye effect, (Picture Recording only).3 Digital Light ( ): Extends the dynamic range for backlightand high contrast sensitivity, so that objects will be brighterand clearer.4 Flash Off ( ): The flash will not fire under anycircumstances.
