Press MENU, then press or to display the OPTION menu.2. Press s or t to highlight V-CHIP.3. Press or to display the V-CHIP menu.4. Use the Channel Number buttons (0-9) to enter your PIN code.If you are accessing the V-Chip menus for the first time, select afour-digit number to be your PIN code. Press ENTER.The BLOCKING menu appears.5. Press s or t to highlight ENABLE BLOCKING.• Press or to highlight ON to enable V-Chip program blockingby rating.• Press or to highlight OFF to disable V-Chip program blockingby rating.6. Press s or t to highlight SET RATING. Then, press or todisplay the SET RATING menu.7. Press s or t to highlight MPAA Rating, Youth TV Rating orindividual TV Ratings.8. Press or to select the ratings that will be blocked. Blockedratings are signified by a red “X.” Unblocked ratings are signified bya green “3.” As you block ratings, all ratings higher than the onesyou select are blocked, as well. For example, if you choose toblock the MPAA rating R, the higher ratings NC17 and X areautomatically blocked too.9. When you are done selecting the ratings to be blocked, pressEXIT to return to normal viewing.When you try to view a program with a ratings block, a message willappear listing the program’s ratings. The program can still be viewed ifyou press MUTE and then enter your PIN code to temporarily bypassthe block.Note:Not all programs are rated.
