26Initial SetupWhen you first turn on or reset the TV, the InitialSetup window will appear.1 In the Menu Language field, press or toselect your preferred language.2 Press or to select Time Zone Setup and setyour desired time zone with or and press .3 Next, the Location setting window will appear.For normal home use, press or to selectHome and press .4 Next, ANT/CABLE In setup window will appear.Press or to select the input source (Cable orAntenna) for the ANT/CABLE input on the TV andpress .5 If you select Antenna, the Channel Tuning Modesetup window will appear. To tune only digitalchannels, select Digital. To tune digital channelspreferentially over analog when entering channelnumber directly, select Auto. For normal tuning,select Standard. Press to continue to AutoTuning.6 Press to select Start Scan and continue withthe Auto Tuning.You can stop the Initial Setup with . Howeverif you do not finish the entire Initial Setup processby pressing until step 5 above, the Initial Setupwindow will appear every time you turn on the TV.Selecting the menu languageYou can choose from three different languages(English, French and Spanish) for the on-screendisplay of menus and messages.To select the menu language:1 Press and open the Preferences menu,highlight Menu Language.2 Press or to select your preferred menulanguage.3 Press to close the Preferences menu.Chapter 5: Setting up your TVConfiguring the antenna inputsource for the ANT/CABLE terminalTo configure the ANT/CABLE input source:1 Press and open the Setup menu.2 Highlight Installation and press .3 A new set of Installation menu icons will appear,as shown below. To revert to your original settings, highlightCancel and press .Programming channels into theTV’s channel memoryWhen you press or on the remote controlor TV control panel, your TV will stop only on thechannels you programmed into the TV’s channelmemory.Follow the steps below to program channels into theTV’s channel memory.Programming channels automaticallyYour TV can automatically detect all active channelsin your area and store them in its memory.
