Closing the TailgateIf you unloaded loose material such as sand,landscaping rock, or wood chips from the cargo bed ofthe machine, some of the material that you unloadedmay have lodged in the hinge area of the tailgate.Perform the following steps before closing the tailgate.1. Use your hands to remove as much of thematerial from the hinge area as possible.2. Rotate the tailgate to approximately the 45°position (Figure 18).g034023Figure 181. Use a short, shaking motion to rotate the tailgateback and forth several times (Figure 18).Note: This action helps move material awayfrom the hinge area.4. Lower the tailgate and check for materialremaining in the hinge area.5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 until the material isremoved from the hinge area.6. Rotate the tailgate up and lift the tailgate into thenotches in the cargo bed.Using the Rear Cargo BedAccessory MountUse the rear cargo bed accessory mount to attachaccessories to the rear of the machine.Capacity: 45 kg (100 lb)1. Secure the assembled accessory to the receivertube using the clevis pin and hairpin cottersupplied with the accessory.4.
