Do not fill the fuel tank completely full.5. Install the fuel tank cap securely.6. Wipe up any gasoline that may have spilled.Checking the Engine-Oil LevelService Interval: Before each use or daily1. Tilt the machine so the engine is level, and shut offthe engine.2. Allow the engine to cool.3. Clean around the oil dipstick.4. Remove the dipstick and wipe the end clean.5. Slide the dipstick fully into the dipstick tube withoutthreading it into the filler neck.6. Pull the dipstick out and look at the end; the oil shouldbe to the top of the upper limit range (Figure 10).Figure 101. Oil dipstickImportant: Running the engine with low oil levelcan cause engine damage. This type of damage isnot covered by warranty. The engine is equipped with an oil alert systemthat will automatically shut off the engine beforethe oil level falls below the safe limit.7. If the oil level is low, slowly pour only enough oil intothe crankcase to raise the level to the upper limit.Important: Do not overfill the crankcase with oilbecause the engine may be damaged.8.
