Position traction unit on a level surface.2. Lower the loader arms, stop the engine, and removethe key.3. Open the rear access cover.4. Place a drain pan under the filter (Figure 56).Figure 561. Hydraulic filter5. Remove the old filter (Figure 56) and wipe the surfaceof the filter adapter gasket clean.6. Apply a thin coat hydraulic fluid to the rubber gasketon the replacement filter.7. Install the replacement hydraulic filter onto the filteradapter (Figure 56). Tighten it clockwise until therubber gasket contacts the filter adapter, then tightenthe filter an additional 3/4 turn.8. Clean up any spilled fluid.9. Start the engine and let it run for about two minutes topurge air from the system.10. Stop the engine and check for leaks.42
