Clevis pinUsing AttachmentsInstalling an AttachmentImportant: Use only Toro-approved attachments.Attachments can change the stability and the operatingcharacteristics of the traction unit. The warranty of thetraction unit may be voided if used with unapprovedattachments.Important: Before installing the attachment, ensurethat the mount plates are free of any dirt or debris andthat the pins rotate freely. If the pins do not rotate freely, grease them.1. Position the attachment on a level surface with enoughspace behind it to accommodate the traction unit.2. Start the engine.3. Tilt the attachment mount plate forward.4. Position mount plate into the upper lip of theattachment receiver plate (Figure 14).Figure 141. Mount plate 2. Receiver plate5. Raise the loader arms while tilting back the mount plateat the same time.Important: The attachment should be raisedenough to clear the ground, and the mount plateshould be tilted all the way back.6. Stop the engine.7. Engage the quick attach pins, ensuring that they arefully seated in the mount plate (Figure 15).Important: If the pins do not rotate to theengaged position, the mount plate is not fullyaligned with the holes in the attachment receiverplate. Check the receiver plate and clean it ifnecessary.G012584Figure 151. Quick attach pins (shownin engaged position)3. Engaged position2. Disengaged positionWARNINGIf you do not fully seat the quick attach pinsthrough the attachment mount plate, theattachment could fall off of the traction unit, crushing you or bystanders.Ensure that your quick attach pins are fullyseated in the attachment mount plate.Connecting the Hydraulic HosesIf the attachment requires hydraulics for operation, connectthe hydraulic hoses as follows:1. Stop the engine.2. Move the auxiliary hydraulics lever forward, backward, and back to neutral to relieve pressure at the hydrauliccouplers.3. Move the auxiliary hydraulics lever forward into thedetent position.18
