If you don’t see an on-screen display afterseveral minutes, some of the files are too big —reduce the resolution of the JPEG files to less than 4megapixels. The total number of files and folders on a media arefree but the total number of files and folders on thefolder should be less than 1999. Some media may be incompatible due to differentrecording formats or the condition of the media. When you are using software such as “Easy CDCreator” to burn JPEG files on a CD-R, ensure that allselected files have the “.jpg” extension before copyingthem into the CD layout. If the files have “.jpe” or “.jpeg” extensions, pleaserename them as “.jpg” files. File names without the “.jpg” extension cannot beread by this DVD player, even though the files areshown as JPEG image files in Windows Explorer®.Notes on MP3 RecordingsAbout MP3 An MP3 file is audio data compressed using theMPEG1 audio layer 3 file-encoding scheme. Filesthat have the “.mp3” file extension are called “MP3files”. The recorder cannot read MP3 files that have fileextensions other than “.mp3”.MP3 file compatibility with the recorder is lim-ited as follows:1. CD-R/RW physical format should be “ISO 9660” and“JOLIET”.2. If you record MP3 files using software which cannotcreate a FILE SYSTEM (e.g., Direct-CD, etc.), it isimpossible to playback MP3 files. “Easy-CD Creator”is recommended.3. The total number of files and folders on the mediaare free but the total number of files and folders onthe folder should be less than 1999.This recorder requires discs/recordings to meet certaintechnical standards in order to achieve optimal playbackquality. Pre-recorded DVDs are automatically set tothese standards.
