4US• Do not install the Wall-MountBracket on wall surfaces wherethe corners or the sides of theTV are protruding away fromthe wall surface.• Do not install the TV over or under an air conditioner.• Be sure to install the Wall-MountBracket securely to the wallfollowing the instructions in thesupplied Wall-Mount BracketInstallation Guide. If any of thescrews are loose or fall out, theWall-Mount Bracket may fall andcause injury or property damage.• Be sure to use the supplied screwsand attachment parts properlyfollowing the instructions given inthe supplied Wall-Mount BracketInstallation Guide. If you usesubstitute items, the TV may fall and cause bodily injuryto someone or damage to the TV.• Be sure to assemble the bracket properly following theinstructed procedure explained in the supplied Wall-Mount Bracket Installation Guide.• Be sure to tighten the screws securely in the designatedposition.• Be careful not to subject the TV to shock duringinstallation.• Be sure to install the TV on a wall that is bothperpendicular and flat.• After proper installation of the TV, secure the cablesproperly.• Do not allow the AC power cord or the connecting cablesto be pinched as the internal conductors may becomeexposed and cause a short circuit or an electrical break.Before setting up your TVSome TV models are packaged with a detached Table-TopStand so you can mount your TV to a wall right away. Seepage 15 (Installing the TV to the Wall) if you want to mountthe TV to a wall. If you are not mounting the TV to a wall,you will need to attach the Table-Top Stand. You will need aPhillips screwdriver (not supplied) and the supplied screwsto complete the task. Look for the Setup Guide.Be sure to consider the following while setting up your TV:• Disconnect all cables when carrying the TV.• Carry the TV with the adequate number of people; largersize TVs require two or more people (four or more peoplefor XBR-85X850D).• Correct hand placement while carrying the TV is veryimportant for safety and to avoid damage.XBR-85X850DXBR-75/65/55X850DXBR-65/55X930D• Ensure your TV has adequate ventilation, see page 20.• For best picture quality, do not expose the screen to directillumination or sunlight.• Avoid installing the TV in a room with reflective wall andfloor materials.• Avoid moving the TV from a cold area to a warm area.Sudden room temperature changes may cause moisturecondensation. This may cause the TV to show poorpicture and/or poor color. Should this occur, allowmoisture to evaporate completely before powering the TVon.Securing the TVSony strongly recommends takingmeasures to prevent the TV fromtoppling over.Unsecured TVs may topple and resultin property damage, serious bodilyinjury or even death.
