69Starting the playbackquickly (Quick Mode)The recorder is factory set to quickly startplayback after the playback button ispressed.You can check the setting as follows.1 While the recorder is stopped orplaying, enter the menu and select“Option” - “Quick Mode”.2 Turn the jog dial until “Quick On”appears in the display, and then pressthe dial to enter the selection.If you will not use the recorderfor a long timeSelect “Quick Off” in step 2.You can minimize battery drain while therecorder is not being used.When the quick mode is set to “Quick On”, thepower remains on within the recorder evenwhen nothing appears in the display.
