78Using your Macintosh computerYou can copy images to your Macintoshcomputer.• “PMB” is not compatible with Macintoshcomputers.The following environment isrecommended for a computer connected tothe camera.Recommended environment for copyingimagesOS (pre-installed): Mac OS 9.1/9.2/ MacOS X(v10.1 to v10.5)USB jack: Provided as standardNotes on connecting the camera to acomputer• Operations are not guaranteed for all therecommended computer environmentsmentioned above.• If you connect two or more USB devices to asingle computer at the same time, some devices,including your camera, may not operatedepending on the types of USB devices you areusing.• Operations are not guaranteed when using aUSB hub.• Connecting the camera using a USB interfacethat is compatible with Hi-Speed USB (USB 2.0compliant) allows advanced transfer (high speedtransfer) as the camera is compatible with Hi-Speed USB (USB 2.0 compliant).• There are two modes for a USB connectionwhen connecting a computer, [Mass Storage](default setting) and [PictBridge] modes.
