No power No Problem alarm system.TroubleshootingShould any problem occur with the unit, make thefollowing simple checks to determine whether or notservicing is required.If the problem persists, consult your nearest Sony dealer.The clock flashes “AM 12:00” due to a powerinterruption. The battery is low. Replace the battery. Remove the oldbattery and install a new one.The radio, buzzer and melody alarm does notsound at the preset alarm time. Has the desired radio, buzzer and melody alarm beenactivated? (i.e., Does the ALARM A (or B) display lightup?)The radio alarm is activated but no sound comes onat the preset alarm time. Has VOLUME been adjusted?Precautions Operate the unit on the power source specified in“Specifications”. The nameplate and important information concerningsafety are located on the bottom exterior. To disconnect the power cord (mains lead), pull it outby the plug, not the cord. The unit is not disconnected from the AC powersource (mains) as long as it is connected to the walloutlet, even if the unit itself has been turned off. Allow adequate air circulation to prevent internal heatbuild-up. Do not place the unit on a surface (a rug,blanket, etc.) or near materials (a curtain) that mightblock the ventilation holes. Should any solid object or liquid fall into the unit,unplug the unit and have it checked by a qualifiedpersonnel before operating it any further.
