These limits are designed toprovide reasonable protection against harmfulinterference in a residential installation. Thisequipment generates, uses and can radiate radiofrequency energy and, if not installed and used inaccordance with the instructions, may cause harmfulinterference to radio communications. Replace the battery. Remove theold battery and install a new one.When daylight saving time begins, the clockdoes not employ the daylight saving timeautomatically.• Make sure the clock is set correctly.• Press and hold CLOCK and TIME ZONE/ALARMDISPLAY simultaneously for at least two secondsto employ the DST function.The alarm does not sound at the preset alarmtime.• Has the desired alarm been activated? (i.e., Does theALARM A (or B) indicator light up?)The radio or iPod alarm is activated but nosound comes on at the preset alarm time.• Has VOLUME been adjusted?There is no sound from the iPod.• Make sure the iPod is securely connected.• Adjust the VOLUME.The iPod cannot be operated with this unit.• Make sure the iPod is securely connected.The iPod cannot be charged.• Make sure the iPod is securely connected.This unit includes a preinstalled Sony Lithium battery (CR2032) as back-up power source for the clock, which is presetto EST/EDT (Eastern Standard Time/Daylight Time) at the factory. Do not dismantle or roll up theantenna.1 Remove only the loop part from the plasticstand.2 Set up the AM loop antenna.3 Connect the cords to the AM antennaterminals.The cords (A and B) can be connected to eitherterminal.A BOnly insert upto here.4 Make sure the AM loop antenna isconnected firmly by pulling softly.Adjusting the AM loop antennaFind a place and an orientation that provide goodreception.• Do not place the AM loop antenna near the unit orother AV equipment, as noise may result.• If you use an external polarized AM antenna, besure to connect the ground cord to the U terminal.The supplied AM antenna cord has no polarity.TipAdjust the direction of the AM loop antenna for bestAM broadcast sound.Insert the cord whilepushing down theterminal clamp.Precautions• Operate the unit on the power sources specified in“Specifications” .• To disconnect the power cord (mains lead), pull itout by the plug, not the cord.• The unit is not disconnected from the AC powersource (mains) as long as it is connected to the walloutlet, even if the unit itself has been turned off.• Do not leave the unit in a location near a heatsource, such as a radiator or airduct, or in a placesubject to direct sunlight, excessive dust,mechanical vibration, or shock.• Allow adequate air circulation to prevent internalheat build-up.
