Enjoy Music with Xperia/iPhonevia a Wireless NetworkQuick Setup GuideThis leaflet is a setup guide for enjoying music from your Xperia (or Xperia Tablet)/iPhone (or iPad/iPod) with DLNA orAirPlay function via a wireless network.A wireless LAN router (including an access point) is necessary in order to use the wireless network.Personal Audio System4-456-709-12(1)© 2013 Sony Corporation Printed in ChinaRefer to the operating instructions of this system in the cases below.ˎ To play music with another smartphone or a personal computerˎ When the “WALKMAN” application * is not installed on your Xperiaˎ To play music with BLUETOOTHIs there a WPS button on your wirelessLAN router?YesNo* Your Xperia may not have the “WALKMAN” application. In that case, this function cannot be used. You can listen to music with some models of “WALKMAN” withthis function, but they may require different operation. Refer to the operating instructions of your “WALKMAN” for details.Making a wireless connection between this systemand a wireless LAN router with WPSMaking a wireless connection between this systemand a wireless LAN router with Xperia/iPhoneapplication “NS Setup”1 Check that the network (LAN) cable is disconnectedfrom the system then connect the power cord.2 Press the / button to turn the system on.3 Check that the STANDBY indicator lit in red turns offand that starts flashing in the display window.It may take several minutes until starts flashing.STANDBY indicator / button Display window4 Press the OPTIONS button on the remote to display“BTNW:STBY.” Press the / button on the remoterepeatedly to select “WPS” then press the button.If “WPS” does not appear,wait about 2 minutes.5 When “OK” appears on the display, press thebutton.“WPS” flashes.//6 Hold the WPS button on the wireless LAN routerpressed for more than 3 seconds.7 “CONNECT” flashes after “WPS” flashes for severaltens of seconds in the display window of thesystem, after which will light once connection iscompleted.If does not appear within 5 minutes or so, the setup may not havebeen completed properly. In that case, proceed from step 4 again.If the setup does not become successful after that, try connectionon the reverse side of this leaflet.8 Check that the connection between your smartphoneand the wireless LAN router has been made properly.When the connection is completePlaying music stored in Xperia/iPhoneWhen the connection is not completeFollow the steps below.Make sure that your wireless LAN router is turned on then have yourSSID and Security key on the space below.For details, refer to the operating instructions of the wireless LANrouter.SSIDSSID:Security key:Security keyConnecting Xperia/iPhone and the wireless LANPlaying music stored in Xperia Launch ([WALKMAN]application). Tap the icon and select[SONY:CMT-BT80W(B)XXXXXX].“NETWORK” appearson the display windowof the system duringmusic play.Connecting Xperia with the wireless LANSelect the SSID youhad in step 8 from thenetwork list and enterthe Security key toconnect.For details, refer to theoperating instructionsof Xperia.After setup has beencompleted, go to“Playing music storedin Xperia/iPhone.“Tap [Settings]. Tap [Wi-Fi].Playing music stored in iPhone Launch ([Music]application). Tap the icon and select[SONY:CMT-BT80W(B)XXXXXX].“AirPlay” appearson the displaywindow of thesystem duringmusic play.Connecting iPhone with the wireless LANSelect the SSID youhad in step 8 from thenetwork list and enterthe Security key toconnect.For details, refer to theoperating instructionsof your iPhone.After setup has beencompleted, go to“Playing music storedin Xperia/iPhone.“Tap [Settings].
