Your TV will detect the type of signalconnected and will start scanning for the availablechannels.If you have both cable and antenna connections available, pleaseconnect cable first.IMPORTANT: You must perform Auto Program after cableor antenna is connected. If you cancel Auto Program, somechannels may not be available.If you are not using the CABLE/ANTENNA connection to TV(for example, if using a cable or satellite box), you can cancel theAuto Program by selecting Cancel.4 Follow the help text provided on the screen to runAuto Program. When the searching of channels is done,press to complete the Auto Program process.If you did not follow the Initial Setup screen the first timeyou turned on your TV, refer to your Operating InstructionsManual or the online Reference Book for procedure onrunning Auto Program under Channel menu.•••Select Your Content SourceWhether you are watching cable, satellite or broadcast TV; playing a VCR, DVD or Blu-rayDisc; or connecting to your PC, you need to choose the correct input using your remotecontrol:Press the INPUT button repeatedly until your selection is highlighted on-screen oruse / on the remote control.Adjust Screen Shape and Aspect RatioHigh Definition and Standard Definition signals are transmitted with different aspectratios (the width-to-height ratio of the image).The 16:9 aspect ratio (common to most HD signals) looks perfect on your BRAVIA.The boxy 4:3 aspect ratio (common to most SD signals) must be adjusted to fill the screen.Press the WIDE button on your remote control to display the Wide Mode setting ofyour preference.Customize Sound and Picture QualityYou can choose optimum sound and picture settings to match the content you aredisplaying on your TV:Press the remote control’s MENU button, highlight and select the Picture and Soundsettings to adjust the picture and sound quality of your content.Refer to your Operating Instructions Manual (included) and also see the online ReferenceBook for more information on adjusting or customizing your settings.■■■Watching Your TV3Running Initial Setup21To Do ListWhen the Initial Setup is completed, consider carrying out these items:Set Closed Captions (CC) Manage InputsSet Parental Lock Set Favorites ListShow or Hide ChannelsFor details, refer to your BRAVIA Operating Instructions Manual (included)and also see the online Reference Book at www.sony.com/referencebook.4-132-232-12(2)Please select your language:Initial SetupEspañolFrançaisEnglishSetInitial SetupPlease select the type of use for this TV.“Home” optimizes the picture for normal home use.“Retail” optimizes the picture for store display.HomeRetailSetInitial SetupFirst please connect cable or antenna.Allow 30+ minutes for completion.Start Auto Program now?OK CancelSetAuto ProgramAnalog Channels Found: 106Digital Channels Found: 24Searching...CancelSetYour New BRAVIA® LCD HDTVCongratulations!
