Align the tab on the rear of the Mounting Hookwith the square hole on the rear of the TV as inthe illustration below.NoteBe sure not to use any screws other than the suppliedones (+PSW6 × 16) when securing the MountingHook.4 Adjust the angle of the MountingHook using the hexagon wrenchsupplied with the Wall-MountBracket.When installing the TV parallel to the wall (0degrees), adjustment of the Mounting Hookangle (procedures 1 and 2 below) is notnecessary. Make sure that each arm base X isscrewed in securely.1 Remove the two screws from the arm baseX of the Mounting Hook. Choose the holescorresponding to the desired angle (5, 10, 15or 20 degrees).2 Adjust the angles of the top Y and bottomZ arm to fit the corresponding hole, andfirmly secure each arm using the two screwsremoved in the previous procedure 1.Installing the Wall-Mount BracketTo CustomersFor product protection and safety reasons, Sony strongly recommends that wall-mounting of your TVbe performed by Sony dealers or licensed contractors. Do not attempt to install it yourself.Your KDL-40V3000/KDL-46V3000/KDL-40W3000/KDL-46W3000/KDL-52W3000 can be wall-mounted using the SU-WL500 Wall-Mount Bracket (sold separately). Please provide your licensedcontractor with this installation supplement as well as the Instructions (supplied with the SU-WL500Wall-Mount Bracket). Refer tothe reverse page for the TV installation dimensionstable.Refer to the Instructions for SU-WL500.Step 3: Installing the BaseBracket on the wallRefer to the Instructions for SU-WL500.Installing the TV on a wallThe TV can be installed on a wall by attaching a Wall-Mount Bracket (sold separately).Verify your TV’s model number and be sure to usethe bracket specified for your model only. Refer to theSteps on this leaflet along with the Instructionssupplied with the SU-WL500 Wall-Mount Bracket, toproperly carry out the installation.Sufficient expertise is required in installing thisproduct, especially to determine the strength ofthe wall for withstanding the TV’s weight. Besure to entrust the attachment of this product tothe wall to Sony dealers or licensed contractorsand pay adequate attention to safety during theinstallation. Sony is not liable for any damage orinjury caused by mishandling or improperinstallation.For product protection and safety reasons, Sonystrongly recommends that you use the Wall-Mount Bracket model designed for your TV andthat the wall-mounting of your TV is performed bySony dealers or licensed contractors.Printed in MexicoStep 4: Preparing for theinstallation of the TVFollow the steps below to prepare for installing theTV.1 Disconnect all the cables from theTV.2 Start removing the screws behindthe TV.Do not remove any other screws from the TV.3 Secure the Mounting Hook to therear of the TV.Referring to the Screw and Hook locationsdiagram/table on the reverse page, determinethe screw positions, and secure the MountingHook to the rear of the TV.1 Secure the Mounting Hook to the rear of theTV temporarily, using the supplied fourscrews (+PSW6 × 16).2 Be sure that both screws are securelytightened with equal torque strength to therear of the TV.Notes• Be sure to adjust the right and left arms to the sameangle.• Make sure that the two arm bases are screwed insecurely.CAUTIONBe careful not to pinch your fingers whenadjusting the angle of the Mounting Hook.5 Lift the TV off the stand. Makesure that you carry out this taskwith at least two or three people.Do not attempt to lift the TV by yourself.Step 5: Installing the TV on thewallRefer to the instructions for SU-WL500.Notes• When you put the TV back on the stand, reverse theabove steps (insert the posts of the stand, aligning withthe lines on the rear of the TV).• When moving the TV, do not squeeze the bottom of thefront panel too strongly.• Remove the screws or install the Mounting Hook on astable and level surface.Screw(+PSW6 × 16)Mounting HookSquare holeSquareholeTabHexagon wrench
