6.4.4 Cleaning the Moving GuidesNecessary Tools: Cleaning PieceCleaning Fluid (Sony #2-034-697-00)(Sony #Y-2031-001-0)nAs with the fixed guides, heads and capstan, the rollerguides should be cleaned and demagnetized periodically (referto Table 6-2).lubricated bearings in their assemblies,important that the cleaning solution does not enter thebearings as the lubrication will be washed out and the rollerguide will have to be replaced.Remember that the roller guides incorporateIt is verySTEP 1 Turn the APR-5000 power switch OFF.Remove all of the roller guides, and place aside inthe order in which they were removed from thetransport (this will allow exact replacement of theroller guides to their original positions on thetransport ).STEP 2NOTE: If desired, the roller guides can be removed andcleaned one at a time.STEP 3 Clean all components of the roller guide assembliescarefully ensuring that the cleaning fluid does notenter into the bearing assemblies.STEP 4 Replace all roller guides onto the transport.n>6-12
