In the event of this, the datastored on the hard disk will be deleted. Besure to save the data on the internal harddisk (p. 47) onto other media (backup)before sending your camcorder for repair.We will not compensate you for any lossof hard disk data.• During repair, we may check a minimumamount of data stored on the hard disk inorder to investigate the problem.However, your Sony dealer will neithercopy nor retain your data.The power does not turn on.• Attach a charged battery pack to thecamcorder (p. 16).• The plug of the AC Adaptor has beendisconnected from the wall outlet (wallsocket). Connect it to the wall outlet (wallsocket) (p. 16).• Set the camcorder onto the HandycamStation securely (p. 16).The camcorder does not operateeven when the power is set to on.• It takes a few seconds for your camcorderto be ready to shoot after the power isturned on. This is not a malfunction.• Disconnect the AC Adaptor from the walloutlet (wall socket) or remove the batterypack, then reconnect it after about 1 minute.If the functions still do not work, press theRESET button (p. 114) using a pointedobject (If you press the RESET button, allsettings, including the clock setting, arereset).• The temperature of your camcorder isextremely high. Turn off your camcorderand leave it for a while in a cool place.• The temperature of your camcorder isextremely low. Leave your camcorder withthe power of your camcorder on. Turn offyour camcorder and take it to a warm place.Leave the camcorder there for a while, thenturn on your camcorder.Buttons do not work.• During Easy Handycam operation, thefollowing buttons/functions are notavailable.– .
