Step by StepADSL Module126ADSL ModuleThe ADSL module allows you to connect PCs to anetwork and have them share the ADSL access withoutrequiring a splitter, ADSL modem, hub or any additionalnetwork cards. To share access simply install themodule in one of the PCs.The PCs are connected to the HiPath 1100, whichprovides the same functions as the V.24 serial interfacevia LAN. This capability is used for integrating applica-tions such as the HiPath 1100 Manager, InteractionCenter Smart and CDR applications. ADSL access mustbe enabled by a carrier for one of the lines. An Internetprovider is also required.To configure the ADSL module correctly you need infor-mation about the ADSL protocol, the carrier’s VPI/VCI,the provider’s DNS servers, user name and password.This information is entered in the HiPath 1100 ADSLManager Administrative software for configuring themodule correctly.All the PCs must have a network card installed and beon the same network as the ADSL module used as agateway for accessing the Internet (the default IP is10.0.0.1).
