81Removing and refitting the door panelsThe glass panels can be removed from the oven door to allowmore thorough cleaning.Removal1. Removing the oven door See the section Removing the ovendoor. Lay the oven door on a cloth with the handle facingdownwards.2. Remove the cover from the top of the oven door. To do this,press with your fingers on the left and right-hand side. Pullout the cover (Fig. A).3. Raise the top panel and pull it out (Fig. B).Clean the panels with glass cleaner and a soft cloth.: Risk of injury!Scratched glass in the appliance door may develop into acrack. Do not use a glass scraper, sharp or abrasive cleaningaids or detergents.Fitting1. Hold the top glass panel firmly by the sides and slide it intowards the back at an angle. The panel must be insertedinto the openings on the lower side. The smooth surface mustface outwards, while the roughened side must be on theinside. (Fig. A).2. Place the cover on the top of the oven door and press inplace. Make sure that the grooves along the sides lock intoposition.3. Refitting the oven door See the section Refitting the ovendoor.Do not use the oven again until the panels have beencorrectly fitted.TroubleshootingMalfunctions often have simple explanations. Repairs may only be carriedout by one of our trained after-sales engineers.Replacing the bulb in the oven ceiling lightIf the bulb in the oven light fails, it must be replaced. Heat-resistant, 40 watt spare bulbs can be obtained from our after-sales service or a specialist retailer. Only use these bulbs.: Risk of electric shock!Switch off the circuit breaker in the fuse box.1. Place a tea towel in the oven when it is cold to preventdamage.2. Unscrew the glass cover by turning it anti-clockwise.3. Replace the bulb with one of the same type.4. Screw the glass cover back in.5. Remove the tea towel and switch on the circuit breaker.Glass coverYou must replace a damaged glass cover. Suitable glasscovers may be obtained from the after-sales service.
