Steam may not be visible, depending on itstemperature. When opening, do not stand too close tothe appliance. Open the appliance door carefully. Keepchildren away.:Warning – Risk of scalding!The water in the evaporator dish is still hot even afterthe appliance has been switched off. Do not empty theevaporator dish immediately after switching off theappliance. Allow the appliance to cool down beforecleaning it.:Warning – Risk of scalding!When you open the appliance door, hot water may flowout of the appliance. When opening the door, do notstand too close to the appliance. Open the appliancedoor carefully. Keep children away from the appliance.If the evaporator dish overflows, do not pour more waterinto the water tank.Switching the appliance on and offBefore you are able to set the appliance, you mustswitch it on.Exception: The childproof lock and the timer can be setwhen the appliance is switched off.Displays or information, e.g the residual heat indicatorin the cooking compartment, remain visible in thedisplay after the appliance has been switched off.Switch off your appliance when you do not need to useit. If no settings are applied for a long time, theappliance switches itself off automatically.Switching the appliance onUse the On/Off button to switch the appliance on.The on/off symbol above the button is illuminated inblue.The Siemens logo appears in the display, and then atype of heating and a temperature.Note: You can specify which operating modes shouldappear after the appliance is switched on in the basicsettings.Switching off the applianceUse the On/Off button to switch off the appliance.The lighting above the button goes out.A set function is cancelled.The time appears in the display.Note: You can set whether or not the time should bedisplayed when the appliance is switched off in thebasic settings.
