Before transporting the unit1 Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on.2 Open the disc compartment and remove the disc.3 Close the disc compartment and enter the unit to stand-by mode.4 After the power indicator goes off, unplug the unit.Maintenance Cleaning the cabinet Cleaning the laser pickup lensDo not touch the laser pickup lens. If fingerprints or dust accumulate on the pickup,clean it gently with a dry cotton swab.Notes:z Close the disc compartment when it is not used.z Be careful not to damage the optical pickup or to touch it by hand.1 Unplug the unit.2 While holding down the ON/STAND-BY button, plug in the AC power cord.At this time, the unit will not be turned on.3 Press the ON/STAND-BY button again to turn the power on.Periodically wipe the cabinet with a softcloth and a diluted soap solution, then witha dry cloth.z Do not use chemicals for cleaning (gas-oline, paint thinner, etc.).
