– 6 –IM-MT899H/IM-MT899WOPERATION MANUALUsing with the Rechargeable Batteryn ChargingWhen the rechargeable battery is used for the first timeor when you want to use it after a long period of disuse,be sure to charge it fully.l When the portable MD is turned on or operating, thebattery will not be charged.l No operation can be performed whilst charging. If youtry to operate, "CH" will appear.l After the rechargeable battery is charged or used, itwill get slightly warm. This is normal.Caution:l Use the specified battery AD-N55BT only. Do notcharge a battery (nickel-cadmium, alkaline, etc.) otherthan that specified.l If the rechargeable battery terminal is dirty, chargingmay not start. In such a case, wipe off the dirt with adry cloth.l Do not disassemble the battery.1 Insert the rechargeable battery.2 Connect the AC adaptor.3 Place the unit on the battery charger.l Do not remove the outer cover of the re-chargeable battery. It may cause heat gen-eration, fire, or explosion.l Do not dip the battery in water, do not dis-pose of it in a fire, and do not take it apart.
