SETTING UP 3IMPORTANT!BACKING UP YOUR FILES"LOMY FILESWORKING DISKO O"LLUMY FILESBACKUP DISKNo matter what type of word processor or computer you use, it is important to keepduplicate copies (backups) of the work you produce. Whether the problem is a faultydisk, operator error or a machine failure, once the work is lost it is often very difficult oreven impossible to get it back and hours of work may be lost. Here is an easy tip to help you back up your files on your Font Writer.3.4.Label two floppy disks in similar manner as above. (Here we have called one aworking disk and the other a backup disk.).When you are ready to store (save) your file on disk, insert the working disk andsave the file in the normal manner onto the working disk.Having saved the file, remove the working disk.Insert the backup disk and store the file again onto the backup disk. This way you have two copies of the same file on two separate disks. If you get into the habit of using this method of duplicating your work then if you shouldaccidentally erase one of the files or if the disk becomes damaged, you always have acopy of the file on a second disk. |
