If this occurs, allow the kettle to coolbefore filling with cold water and reboiling.CLEANING AND MAINTENANCEAlways disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.1. Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power base in water or allowmoisture to come into contact with these parts.2. Wipe the outside of the kettle with a damp cloth or a mild detergent. Donot use alkaline based cleaning products.3. Remember to clean the mesh filter at intervals. For easier cleaning,disconnect from any power, then detach the filter by gently pulling it out.Replace the filter after cleaning.4. To remove the filter, open the lid and slide up and out of the kettle. Thefilter can be cleaned by placing under hot water and rubbing with acleaning cloth or brush. To replace the filter, simply slide the filter downinto the slot behind the spout of the kettle and push back into position.5. When not in use or for easy storage, the power cord may be woundunder the bottom of kettle.REMOVAL OF MINERAL DEPOSITSMineral deposits in tap water may form scale in the bottom of the kettle,resulting in decreased operation efficiency. Your kettle should be periodicallydescaled to maintain product performance. You can use a kettle descalerand follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the package to descale.Alternatively, you may use white vinegar and follow the instructions below. |
