COMPACT DISC OPERATIONn CD playback1 Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on.2 Press the CD button.3 Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tray.4 Place the CD(s) on the disc tray, label side up.l CDs can be placed on any open position on the disc tray.l Be sure to place 3" (8 cm) CD(s) in the middle of the disctrays.Caution:Do not stack CDs in the tray.This can damage the player and the CDs.5 When loading a third disc, press the DISC SKIP button to turnthe disc tray, then place the CD in the open position.6 Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to close the disc tray.l The total number of tracks and the total playing time for onedisc will be displayed. At this time, the disc number indicatoris flashing.7 Press the desired disc number button ( 1 - 3).8 Press the 0/R (0R) button.l Playback will begin from track 1 on the disc you have selectedto play.l After the disc finishes playing, the next disc will automaticallyplay.l When there is no CD in one of the disc 1 - 3 positions, thatposition will be skipped and the next CD will be played.l When the last track on the third disc has finished playing, theunit will stop automatically.To interrupt playback:¬Press the CD 6 button on the remote control.l "6" will appear.Press the 0R button to resume playback from the samepoint.To stop playback:Press the n (CD n) button.To remove the CDs:While in the stop mode, press the OPEN/CLOSE button.l The disc tray will open. Remove the two discs. Then, pressthe DISC SKIP button to rotate the disc tray and remove theremaining disc.After use:Press the ON/STAND-BY button to enter the stand-by mode.Caution:l Do not carry the unit with discs left in the disctrays. The discs may come loose inside theunit and they may be damaged or causedamage to the unit. This may also cause mal-functions.l Do not place two CDs in one disc position.l Do not push the disc tray while it is moving.l Do not attempt to turn the disc tray by hand. Thismay cause malfunctions.l If the power fails while the tray is open, wait untilthe power is restored.l If the disc tray is stopped forcibly, "ERR" will ap-pear in the display and the unit will not function.If this occurs, press the ON/STAND-BY button toenter the stand-by mode and then turn the poweron again.l If TV or radio interference occurs during CD opera-tion, move the unit away from the TV or radio.l If a disc is damaged, dirty, or loaded upside down,the disc will be skipped and the next disc will auto-matically play.CD CD123,6584 5721585" (12 cm)3" (8 cm)8
