ENGLISHGB-19IF THE UNIT FAILS TO RECEIVE THE REMOTE CONTROL SIGNALCheck whether the remotecontrol batteries have becomeold and weak.Try to send the signal again withthe remote control pointed prop-erly towards the unit’s signal re-ceiver window.Check whether the remotecontrol batteries are installedwith the polarities properlyaligned.BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICEThe following conditions do not denote equipment malfunctionsUNIT DOES NOT OPERATEThe unit will not operate if it is turned onimmediately after it is turned off. The unit will notoperate immediately after the mode is changed.This is to protect the internal mechanisms. Wait 3minutes before operating the unit.UNIT DOES NOT SEND OUT WARM AIRThe unit is preheating or de-icing.CRACKING NOISEThe unit may produce a cracking noise. This soundis generated by the friction of the front panel andother components expanding or connecting due toa temperature change.If the unit appears to be malfunctioning, check the following points before callingfor service.IF THE UNIT FAILS TO OPERATECheck to see if the circuit breaker has tripped or the fuse has blown.IF THE UNIT FAILS TO COOL (OR HEAT) THE ROOM EFFECTIVELYCheck the filters. If dirty, cleanthem.Check the outdoor unit to makesure nothing is blocking the airinlet or outlet.Check the thermostat is propersetting.Make sure windows and doorsare closed tightly.A large number of people in theroom can prevent the unit fromachieving the desired tempera-ture.Check whether any heat-gen-erating appliances are operat-ing in the room.ODORSCarpet and furniture odors that entered into theunit and the air conditioner's inner componentodors at the early stage of installation may besent out from the unit.Please call for service when TEMPERATURE INDICATOR on the indicator panel blink.A LOW BUZZING NOISE EMITTEDThis is a sound emitted when the unit is generatingPlasmacluster ions.SWISHING NOISEThe soft, swishing noise is the sound of the re-frigerant flowing inside the unit.WATER VAPOUR• In the COOL and DRY operation, water vapourcan sometimes be seen at the air outlet due tothe difference between the room air tempera-ture and the air discharged by the unit.• In the HEAT operation, water vapour may flowout of the outdoor unit during de-icing.THE OUTDOOR UNIT DOES NOTSTOPAfter stopping the operation, the outdoor unit willrotate its' fan for about a minute to cool down theunit.ODOR EMITTED FROM THE PLAS-MACLUSTER AIR OUTLETThis is the smell of ozone generated from thePlasmacluster Ion generator. The ozone concen-tration is very small, posing no adverse effect onyour health. The ozone discharged into the airrapidly decomposes, and its density in the roomwill not increase.
