See Figure B.Recessed Ceiling Fixture CapabilityThis Sharp 6" round luminaire can be installed in select re-cessed 6" round ceiling fixtures.Warning: Risk of Electric Shock – Use only compatiblerecessed fixtures that are listed on the specification sheetsavailable for download at www.sharpledlighting.com. Alllisted compatible recessed fixtures should be installed per themanufacturer’s installation instructions and should be in strictconformance with local building and electrical codes.TYPICAL RECESSEDCEILING FIXTURESOCKETMOUNTINGBRACKETSOCKETFigure aUnpack the product and remove all packing material. Thisproduct comprises of two assemblies, the luminaire and thesocket adaptor.InstallatIon1. Turn power off.2. Remove lamp and reflector from the ceiling fixture forretrofit if applicable. Detach the socket from the socketmounting bracket and remove mounting bracket.4. Attach socket adaptorinto socket.See Figure C.5. Connect the other end of thesocket adaptor to the connector ontop of the luminaire. A positive lockwill secure the two connectors.See Figure D.DO NOT SUSPEND LUMINAIREFROM SOCKET ADAPTOR.6. Compress the twotorsion springs together,release them so that eachone seats into the sidebrackets located in thesidewall of the ceilingfixture. See Figure E.7. Tuck the wiring and connector back into the ceiling fixture.8. Carefully push the luminaireup into the ceiling fixture untilflush with the ceiling. SeeFigure F.9. Restore power to ensureoperation.CautIon – safety statementsQualified licensed professionals should perform allinstallation work. Installation must be completed in strictconformance with local building and electrical codes.Do not dis-assemble the luminaire.Do not remove or attempt to operate without lens coverover LED.Do not handle energized luminaires.Warning – Do not expose wiring to edges of metal toprevent damage.Warning – For removal of luminaire, turn off power. Allowluminaire to cool before handling.
