INSTRUCTIONS FOR:ELECTRONIC WELDING HEADSHIELDModel No: MIG/LITEThank you for purchasing a Sealey product. Manufactured to a high standard this product will, if used according to these instructionsand properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.3 Maintain the helmet in good condition (use an authorised service agent).3 Replace or repair damaged parts. Use recommended parts only. Non authorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.3 The helmet has two independent photo sensors which must be free of dust and debris.3 Always use the helmet with an anti-spatter cover len installed to protect it from weld splatter3 For optimum results, use your MIG/LITE helmet between the temperatures of -5 0 C (+230 F) and + 55 0 C (+1310 F).3 Use helmet and filter for eye/face protection against harmful ultraviolet and infrared radiation sparks and splatter from welding and cutting.3 The protective plate in this helmet is NOT unbreakable. The helmet will not protect you against severe impact hazards (such as, but not limited to)fragmenting abrasive discs and grinding wheels, stones and other grinding tools, explosive devices or corrosive fluids. Appropriate eye protection must be usedwhere these hazards exist.3 Ensure all workshop safety rules, regulations, and conditions are complied with when using welding equipment. The helmet will not offer protection againstmis-use of workshop tools, equipment, or accessories.3 Remove ill fitting clothing, remove ties, watches, rings, and other loose jewellery.3 Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the floor is not slippery and wear non slip shoes.3 Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the working area.3 Maintain helmet batteries in good condition. Low power indicator operates when 8 hours or less of life is left.7 DO NOT use helmet unless you have been instructed in its use by a qualified person.7 DO NOT get the helmet wet or use in damp or wet locations.3 When not in use switch the light sensor off, and store the helmet in a safe, dry, childproof area.1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSThe MIG/LITE autodarkening welding helmet offers personal eye and face protection during welding. The helmet is fully adjustable to fit over your head. The helmetautomatically darkens in less than 0.1 milliseconds when arc is struck, allowing you to see more easily during positioning. The shade varies from 9 to 12 which suitsmost gas and mig welders. Variable sensitivity allows for use outdoors. A variable delay on return to clear allows for use when spot welding. The unit is powered bytwo AA 1.5 Volt batteries.IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. NOTE THE SAFE OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, WARNINGS ANDCAUTIONS.
