FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE DAMAGE AND/ORPERSONAL INJURY AND WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS SAFE FOR FUTURE USE.1. safety8 Do Not use the cycle carrier if any parts are missing or damaged as this may cause failure or possible personal injury. warNiNG! due to the variety in design of vehicles & cycles, it is the users full responsibility to ensure no damage occurs whilstusing this cycle carrier. correct attachment of carrier to a vehicle is therefore critical and is beyond control of the manufacturer,distributor, or supplier. warNiNG! the user must secure the carrier and any cycles to be carried properly, checking the security frequently when in use.9 use strong, good quality tie restraints for securing cycles to the carrier. Do Not use string, or elasticated straps. warNiNG! the locking mechanism is spring loaded, operate with care.9 if your vehicle lights and/or number plate are obscured by your bikes, you are required by law to replicate them with anauxiliary lighting kit.Avoid damage caused by hot exhaust fumes do not position cycles directly next to the vehicle’s exhaust, especially the bicycletyres. If necessary fit an exhaust deflector.9 ensure that bicycles do not come into contact with the vehicle bodywork and provide protection as required. warNiNG! remove any loose objects from the bikes i.e pumps, bottles etc. warNiNG! Avoid any protrusions beyond the side of the car as these may present a risk of injury to passers-by.8 Do Not use the cycle carrier for any purpose other than for which it is designed.8 Do Not strap any other items to the carrier, only bicycles. warNiNG! drive carefully - Be aware of cross winds, sudden braking or hard cornering, reduce speed accordingly when usingcarrier. warNiNG! this carrier is designed for temporary use only, remove when not in use or before going through a car wash.9 Every time before use check the carrier for security of fittings or any sign of wear and tear. Replace any worn or damaged parts. warNiNG! remember the driver of the vehicle is responsible for the security and safety of the load carried.2. iNtroDuctioNstrong tubular construction. Mounts firmly onto any Ø50mm tow ball in seconds and will carry 2 cycles. Positive lock action includes aprovision for anti-theft lock (not included). Folds down flat for storage.3. asseMbly3.1. fold out the cycle support tubes, see fig.1.1. Secure through the upright tubes with thumbscrew, see fig.1.2.3.2. fit lock out bar using cross head screws and lock nuts, see fig.1.3.3.3. fit the four cycle stirrups. Final tightening of the screws need to takes place once the carrier has been fitted to the car, see fig.1.4.3.4. fit the foam pads. Use the cleaning cloth to clean the stirrup, then stick the foam pads onto the four stirrups, see fig.2.4. fittiNG to car4.1. remove the lockout bar hand wheel. Note: press down with one hand on the lock out bar whilst undoing lockout bar handwheel, seefig.1.4.2. carefully pull lockout bar up to allow jaws of tow bar lock to move apart, see figs.1 and 3.4.3. Position the cycle carrier onto the tow ball, see figs 3 and 4.4.4. Press down on the lockout bar until the latch clicks in its locked position.4.5. check that the carrier is securely clamped onto the tow ball and that it is vertical.4.6. refit the lockout bar handwheel.
