Networking allows the monitoring ofprojector functions and operation from a long distance via a web browser. Emailscan be sent automatically to report operating status. The wireless interface iscompatible with IEEE802.11b/g standards, offering transfer speeds up to 54Mbpsand providing WEP 64/128-bit securityMEMORY VIEWER ALLOWS SD CARDThe PLC-XL51 built-in Memory Viewer can use a SD memory card dedicated tothe projector. With Memory Viewer, projected images can be edited with a slideconverter (Index data), bitmap data and JPEG data.DURABLE IN-ORGANIC LCD’S (D.I.O.S.)This Inorganic Optical LCD panel system provides a more durable projector tohandle many applications for high-quality, high contrast image presentations.NEW OPTICAL ENGINE FOR VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL PROJECTIONThe proprietary optical and cooling mechanism technologies used in the PLC-XL51allow both vertical and horizontal projection. The new optical engine was createdwith a high-precision aspheric mirror combined with a distortion correctionmechanism lens, enabling large magnification without distortion, even from ultra-short distances. To allow projection either vertically or horizontally, a special coolingmechanism was also essential. The resulting solution is a one-way flow systemconsisting of an air intake and exhaust mechanism on the main body of the projector- thus allowing optimal positioning of the main components.PROJECTOR ALLOWING IMAGINATIVE VERSATILE APPLICATIONSBy shortening the distance for projection, the options for installation are greatlyimproved, including floor, tabletop and wall mount projection. The variety ofapplications is almost limitless, providing effective, quick and easy presentations ordisplays. Projecting a large screen image on the floor in a pre-school creates a newstyle of teaching and classroom interaction. The PLC-XL51 presents a new avenuefor education/instruction, “edutainment,” specialized business viewing andinformational attention-getting signage.EASILY ADAPTS TO DIFFERENT PROJECTION SURFACESProjection surface-oriented features include top and bottom keystone correction for properalignment of the projector and a Color Board Mode, which allows adjustment of the huewhen projecting an image on a color (non-white) surface so that it appears to be projectedon a white surface. The additional Black Board Mode enables educational institutions touse the projector with all standardized educational boards.EASY SET-UP AND REMOVAL PLUS ANIT-THEFT ALARMThe PLC-XL51 turns on automatically when the power cord is plugged into an electricaloutlet. With the Easy-Off function, it's possible to unplug the power cord without waitingfor the machine to cool down, making it convenient for quickly clearing away the areaafter a presentation. The unit has been outfitted with a built-in, vibration sensor alert.
