When the power is on, voltage is supplied to the VTRsection and to the camera section from a DC/DC converter.When the battery is removed, a backup voltage only issupplied from the lithium battery, and only the clockoperates.IC352 includes a power controller function. It creates theALWAYS +5 V from the UN REG voltage. Moreover, it isalso equipped with a circuit which switches to the lithiumbattery for backup when the main battery is removed. Asignal indicating that the battery has been removed(BATTERY OFF) is generated at this time.If the main battery and lithium battery are both not present,the RESET signal turns ON and the main controller is reset.6-6. CONTROL BY MONITOR REMOTECONTROLLERThe monitor remote controller can be connected so that thecolour LCD can be used. Because a normal infrared remotecontrol method is used, the REMOCON ON signal of IC351becomes High and the infrared photo sensor unit isoperated . (Pin ® of A3581 becomes Low.)When the monitor remote controller is connected, the inputsignal WIRE IN of IC351 becomes Low and the REMOCONON signal is substituted by Low. The photo sensor unit thenIC351CXP80724A3581turns OFF and the camcorder operates in accordance withthe WIRE IR signal from the monitor remote controller. (TheWIRE IR signal is the same as the remote controller signalin 6-2-2.)When the monitor remote controller is connected and theMON ITOR ON switch of the monitor remote controller ispressed, the LCD ON signal of IC351 becomes Low andpower is supplied from 03202 to the LCD of the monitorremote control. In addition, the fact that the POWER switchis on is input to the scan signal and monitored, so that whenthe POWER switch is turned off, the power supply to theLCD is automatically stopped (LCD ON becomes High).
