Before installing and using the unit, please read these instructioncarefully. Be sure to keep it handy for later reference.This unit is conceived to be connected between a camera (soldseparately, and with MENU function) and its peripheral devices (such asa multiplexer, a timelapse VCR, a monitor TV, etc.) in order to controland set the camera’s menus remotely.PRECAUTIONS• Do not use the unit if smoke or a strange odour comes from theunit, or if it seems not to function correctly.• Do not open the cabinet, as it may be dangerous and cause damageto the unit. For internal settings and repairs, consult your dealer (ora Sanyo Authorized Service Centre).PARTS NAMES1 Video signal output terminal (VIDEO OUT)2 Camera signal input terminal (CAMERA)3 Power switch (POWER ON/OFF)4 Menu setting button (SET)5 Battery compartment6 Cursor button (CURSOR)j: Press this button to move the cursor up.c: Press this button to move the cursor to the right, or to turn thesettings ON/OFF etc.d: Press this button to move the cursor to the left, or to turn thesettings ON/OFF etc.l: Press this button to move the cursor down.INSERTING THE BATTERIES1 Press the catch and remove the cover from the battery compartment.2 Insert the batteries (Manganese or Alkali type, AAA, 2 x 1.5 V).Observe the polarity marks on the bottom of the battery compartment.Disposal of old batteriesSANYO recommends that you do not dispose of usedbatteries with domestic refuse. Please, contact yourdealer or your local authorities for informationregarding the disposal of used batteries or take themto your nearest collection point.CONNECTIONS AND OPERATION1 Connect this unit between the camera and the peripheral devices, asillustrated below. Then, turn on all the devices.2 Set the unit POWER switch to the ON position.3 You can now use the CURSOR (d, c, j or l) buttons and theSET button to control and set the camera’s menus.For each camera menu settings details, please refer to theconcerned camera instruction manual.NOTE: This unit is only used for easy setting of the camera(s).
