Thisunit can play only DVD discs labeled 1 or ALL. If you tryto play any other discs, the message “Check RegionalCode” will appear on the TV screen. Some DVD discsmay not have a region code label even though their play-back is prohibited by area limits.Note on DTS-encoded CDsWhen playing DTS-encoded CDs, excessive noise maybe exhibited from the analog stereo output. To avoidpossible damage to the audio system, turn down thevolume before playing back such discs, adjust the vol-ume gradually, and keep the volume level low. To enjoyDTS Digital SurroundTM playback, an external 5.1 chan-nel Digital SurroundTM decoder system must be con-nected to the digital output of the unit.Disc-related termsTitle (DVD only)The main film content or accompanying feature contentor music album.Each title is assigned a title reference number enablingyou to locate it easily.Chapter (DVD only)Sections of a picture or a musical piece that are smallerthan titles. A title is composed of one or several chap-ters. Each chapter is assigned a chapter number toenable you to locate the chapter you want. Dependingon the disc, chapters may not be recorded.Track (audio CD only)Sections of a musical piece on an audio CD. Each trackis assigned a track number, enabling you to locate thetrack you want.Remote control battery installationDetach the battery cover on the rear of theremote control, and insert two R03 (sizeAAA) batteries with and alignedcorrectly.CautionDo not mix old and new batteries.
