It does notrepresent how much RF the phone emits. All phone modelsare tested at their highest value in strict laboratory settings. But when in operation, the SAR of a phone can besubstantially less than the level reported to the FCC. This isbecause of a variety of factors including its proximity to abase station antenna, phone design and other factors. Whatis important to remember is that each phone meets strictfederal guidelines. Variations in SARs do not represent avariation in safety. All phones must meet the federal standard, whichincorporates a substantial margin of safety. As stated above, variations in SAR values between different model phones donot mean variations in safety. SAR values at or below thefederal standard of 1.6 W/kg are considered safe for use bythe public. The highest reported SAR values of SCP-4700 are:AMPS mode (Part 22) - Head: 1.34 W/kg; Body-worn: 1.27 W/kgPCS mode (Part 24) - head: 1.39 W/kg; Body-worn: 1.15 W/kg.FCC Radio Frequency EmissionThis phone meets the FCC Radio Frequency EmissionGuidelines.
