9Setting up Your LCD TV/MonitorSelf-Test Feature Check (STFC)Your LCD TV/Monitor provides a self-test feature thatallows you to check whether your LCD TV/Monitor isfunctioning properly. Make sure that PC is selectedas a primary source by checking if the sourceindicator LED labeled “PC” is on. If your LCDTV/Monitor and computer are properly connectedbut the LCD TV/Monitor screen remains dark and thepower indicator is blinking, run the LCD TV/Monitorself-test by following the steps:1 Turn off both your computer and the LCDTV/Monitor.2 Unplug the video cable from the back of thecomputer.3 Turn on the LCD TV/Monitor.If the LCD TV/Monitor is functioning properly,you will see a white box with a large blue ovalSamsung logo and an error message : CheckSignal Cable.This box also appears during normal operation ifthe video cable becomes disconnected ordamaged.4 Turn off your LCD TV/Monitor and reconnect thevideo cable; then turn on both your computer andthe LCD TV/Monitor.If your LCD TV/Monitor screen remains blank afterfollowing the previous procedure, check yourvideo controller and computer system; your LCDTV/Monitor is functioning properly.Getting HelpIf your LCD TV/Monitor does not display an image,check your cable connections and refer to“Troubleshooting” on page 29. If you experiencedifficulties with the quality of the displayed image,press the Auto button (see page 13).Warm-up TimeAll LCD TV/Monitor need time to become thermallystable when turned after being off for a couple ofhours.Therefore, to achieve more accurate adjustments forparameters, allow the LCD TV/Monitor to warm upfor at least 20 minutes before making any screenadjustments.Check Signal CablePower Indicator
