5Samsung 860 Basic OperationsThe Samsung SDP-860 provides basic controls on the base of the doc cam. Please note that you can alsoaccess these features plus additional advanced functions via the remote control.Control Panel Functions for Both the 860 Panel and Remote1. INT/EXT – internal/external switching function2. AF – Auto focus3. MF/AWB – manual focus, white balance4. ESC – return to live image at any point5. BRIGHTNESS / ZOOM / FOCUS WHEEL6. CAPTURE – Press to capture still imagesor movies with audio to aSD Memory Card7. MODE – Switch to live image,picture or video mode8. FREEZE – Freeze live image or whileplaying video switch to Full Screen9. LAMP – turn the LED light on or offKey Basic Functions for the TeacherPowerPress the POWER button on the SDP-860 panel orremote control to activate the unit. A blue status lightwill illuminate around the Power button.The initial boot-up screen will appear providinginformation on the status of the following items:1) Current digital presenter settings2) Current screen capture settings3) Operational status of the SD Memory card andsystem.Note – A SD Memory card is not required to use the 860document camera. You can save images directly using the USB cable from the doc cam to your laptop if youhave the 860 software installed.
